Description
The SDS-Max 4-cutter hammer drills from Hitachi are robust and designed for demanding end users. They utilize the same symmetrical 4-pass spiral and high-performance cutting edges with excellent carbide plates. In this drill series, the carbide insert is no longer cross-shaped; instead, the 4-cutter design is formed by a main plate with two carbide side plates at a 90° angle. The unique design of the cutting edge prevents the drill from jamming when hitting rebar. Another advantage of the carbide plates is the built-in wear indicator, which allows for timely replacement of the drill. This ensures consistent and reliable tolerances in the borehole and ultimately enables a perfect fit for the dowel.
