If you were to ask a Norwegian what their first knife looked like, the answer would be: the scout knife with the red end. Helle can trace the first production of its traditional children's and scout knife, the Speider 04, back to 1947. The stainless steel blade made from 12C27 steel is as sharp as any other blade from Helle, but thanks to its short length, it is easy for children to handle. A pronounced finger guard made of stainless steel reliably prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. If the knife with a birch wood handle happens to be left in the grass or on the forest floor, it can easily be found again thanks to the red-painted end of the handle. For safe transport, the belt sheath is equipped with a puncture protection and a snap button loop. The sheath features a Norwegian scout in traditional uniform.
