Direct-on-rust metal protection paint. Hammerite direct-on-rust metal protection paint is a primer, undercoat and topcoat in one. Dualtech provides twofold protection: water runs off and rust is stopped - the metal remains resistant for longer. Pre-treatment: Sand smooth surfaces, remove loose rust and flaking old paint with a wire brush Remove dirt, dust and grease residues with diluted cleaning agent. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry thoroughly. Apply Hammerite direct-on-rust metal protection paint to a small, already painted surface and leave to dry for 1 hour. If no reaction occurs, apply Hammerite direct-on-rust metal protection paint to the entire surface. If a reaction occurs, remove all old paintwork before applying Hammerite direct-on-rust metal protection paint. On bare zinc, aluminium and hot-dip galvanised surfaces, treat the surfaces concerned with Hammerite special primer before applying Hammerite direct-on-rust metal protection paint. Application: Brushing method: Ideal application temperature 11°C to 25°C. Stir lightly before use. Apply undiluted. On pre-painted metal surfaces in good condition, 1 coat is sufficient. On bare, rusty metal, 2 coats are required. Ensure that all corners and edges are well covered. Do not apply too thickly, otherwise run-off will occur. Contains: Alkyd resin, solvents, fillers, pigments, additives. Dust-dry after approx. 1 - 2 hours (spray can may vary). Can be painted over after 4 hours (spray can may vary). Consumption: 1 litre is sufficient for approx. 5 m2 (spray can may vary).
