Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint. Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint serves as a primer, undercoat, and topcoat all in one. DUALTECH provides double protection: water beads off and rust is stopped - the metal remains resilient for longer.
Preparation: Sand smooth surfaces, remove loose rust and flaking old paint with a wire brush. Clean dirt, dust, and grease residues with diluted cleaning agent. Rinse with clear water and allow to dry thoroughly. Apply Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint to a small, already painted area and let it dry for 1 hour. If no reaction occurs, apply Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint to the entire surface. If a reaction occurs, remove all old paint layers before applying Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint. For bare zinc, aluminum, and galvanized surfaces, treat the respective surfaces with Hammerite Special Adhesion Primer before applying Hammerite Direct-to-Rust Metal Protective Paint.
Application: Brush application. Ideal processing temperature is between 11°C and 25°C. Stir gently before use. Apply undiluted. For pre-painted metal surfaces in good condition, one coat is sufficient. For bare, rusty metal, two coats are required. Ensure all corners and edges are well covered. Do not apply too thickly to avoid running.
Contains: Alkyd resin, solvents, fillers, pigments, additives. Dust dry after about 1 to 2 hours. Repaintable after 4 hours. Coverage: 1 liter is sufficient for approximately.
