As a free-locking window handle, this model provides effective protection against unauthorized opening of windows and balcony doors and also serves as a child safety feature. Conventionally lockable window handles prevent the handle from being turned by locking it in the handle or in the rose. Free-locking window handles can rotate freely with a 90° ratchet, without affecting the square or the window mechanism. With this principle, no pressure point can be established for forced opening from the inside or outside. The handle can be locked in any ratchet position, thereby protecting the selected setting of the tilt/turn mechanism from unauthorized access. The release can also occur in the tilt position.
