Video Control Unit REG

Features: Control unit for supplying the audio and video components of the Gira door communication bus. It powers the polarity-safe and short-circuit-proof 2-wire bus when using video components such as color cameras and TFT color displays. Up to 2 door stations with color cameras and 28 apartment stations with TFT color displays can be supplied via the Video control unit. In total, up to 15 color cameras can be controlled by the Video control unit (5 video door stations and 10 TKS camera gateways), of which two door stations with color cameras can be powered by the Video control unit. The other color cameras must be operated with their own power supply for door communication.

The device features self-resetting electronic short-circuit and overload detection for the operating voltages and bus connection. Buttons for system and door opener programming are available, as well as LED status indicators for operation, overload, system programming, and door opener programming. The AC 12 V output serves to power a standard door opener. A relay output allows for the switching of a door opener with its own power supply. The door opener switching time is continuously adjustable from 1 to 10 seconds.

Notes: The Video control unit is designed for installation in the sub-distribution board, not for standard surface-mounted distributors. If the topology of the video cabling is executed as a spur line, an additional video distributor is required. In combination with the TKS-TK gateway, a power supply for door communication is necessary. With the Video control unit, the setup of door communication systems with up to 70 audio participants is possible (e.g., 1 x built-in speaker, 5 x extension module for built-in speakers, 68 x apartment station surface-mounted).
