Gira Relay Module 234000: Additional Details
Relay module for Dual smoke detectors. Features: Relay module for the Dual Q smoke detector. Backward compatible, thus also usable with the Dual VdS smoke detector. Allows connection of external alarm devices, e.g., siren or warning light. The alarm relay activates during local or networked alarms. In case of a malfunction of the smoke detector, such as a weak battery, the fault relay activates. With the relay module, alarm and fault messages can be routed to other signal devices.

Notes: Fault messages can only be queried from smoke detectors equipped with a relay module. The relay module simply plugs into the interface of the Dual smoke detector. The networking terminals of the smoke detector remain usable when the module is attached. Refer to the planning notes in the brochure "Technical Information."
