The Gerber Fastball Cleaver is a cool EDC pocket knife, made in the USA. The term "Fastball" comes from baseball and refers to a quick pitch. The Gerber Fastball opens quickly, which explains the name. A series of ball bearings, known as the BOSS system, has been placed around the pivot point. This allows it to open swiftly with the flipper.

This version of the Fastball features a cleaver-style blade, commonly found on kitchen knives, making it excellent for food preparation as well as other daily tasks. When opened, the blade is secured by a solid liner lock, ensuring your fingers are safe. Gerber used aluminum for the handle, making the Fastball very lightweight at just 80 grams. The blade is made from CPM 20CV steel, one of the most popular premium options that retains its sharpness well and is also corrosion-resistant. Great features for a knife you use every day.
