The Gerber Fastball Cleaver is a cool EDC pocket knife, made in the USA. The term "Fastball" comes from baseball and refers to a fast pitch. The Gerber Fastball opens quickly, which explains the name. A series of ball bearings, known as the BOSS system, is placed around the pivot point. This allows it to open swiftly with the flipper.

This version of the Fastball is equipped with a cleaver blade, commonly found on kitchen knives, making it excellent for food preparation as well as other daily tasks. When opened, the blade is secured by a solid liner lock, ensuring your fingers are safe. Gerber used aluminum for the handle, making the Fastball very lightweight at just 80 grams. The blade is made from CPM 20CV steel, one of the most popular premium options available today. It retains its sharpness well and is also corrosion-resistant – great features for a knife you use daily.

The Gerber Fastball is manufactured at the Gerber factory in Portland, Oregon, USA, and is one of the highlights of this workshop. It's a perfect knife for everyday use.
