Product details
Perform the essential measurements required for the installation, testing, maintenance, and documentation of solar panels or photovoltaic systems – all with a single, easy-to-use device. The Fluke IRR1-SOL irradiance meter is designed to simplify the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of photovoltaic systems, allowing for the measurement of irradiance, temperature, tilt, and orientation of solar panels with one handheld device. Thanks to its robust, compact design, a protective carrying case, and a highly readable, high-contrast LCD display for viewing measurements in direct sunlight, you can use the IRR1-SOL anywhere. With its simple operation, instantaneous measurement of solar irradiance, and integrated temperature sensor, it meets the requirements of the IEC 62446-1 standards for testing, documenting, and maintaining photovoltaic systems. Additionally, the built-in compass and tilt sensor enable quick measurement and documentation of the orientation of roofs or mounting locations, as well as slope and module tilt during the surveying, installation, or adjustment of a system. Whether working on a roof system or a large installation, the handy IRR1-SOL measuring device should be in every solar installer and technician's toolkit. Use the IRR1-SOL for planning and surveying photovoltaic systems. The solar irradiance is determined considering shading to estimate the expected energy production at the respective installation site. It is measured in full sun hours, which is the number of hours per day during which 1000 watts are produced per square meter of the photovoltaic system. Location, time of day, season, and weather conditions affect the full sun hours.
