Vermiculite absorbs excess moisture, effectively preventing soil mold. Thanks to vermiculite, root rot caused by excessive moisture is prevented. Vermiculite has a neutral pH value of approximately 7.0.

The vermiculite granulate is a natural mineral, meaning it does not decompose and is frost- and temperature-resistant. The additive has a fine capillary material structure, which offers significant advantages in horticulture and plant cultivation:

Floragard Vermiculite is a granulate with various grain sizes of 2-3 mm in diameter. This grain size specifically regulates the uniform release of nutrients and promotes improved growth. Thousands of air pores create a loosening and aeration effect. This natural loosening effect enhances the development of the plant's root system.

Vermiculite is the ideal insulator. Therefore, it prevents the soil from cooling down quickly. Particularly heat-sensitive vegetable varieties and flowers thrive optimally in vermiculite. It is also used for storing fruits and vegetables.
