The Fischer VBS-M façade renovation anchor is a mechanical system for the retrofitting of façade masonry with and without an air gap, which is approved by building regulations. The system consists of a plastic sleeve with a double expansion zone and a screw made of stainless steel. The VBS-M is installed using a time-saving through-mounting method in the load-bearing shell and in the façade masonry. The two expansion zones of the anchor provide a secure attachment in both the load-bearing shell and the façade. The anchor is only fixed in the façade masonry once it has gripped in the load-bearing shell. The Fischer VBS-M façade renovation anchor is particularly suitable for the quick renovation of double-skin masonry, onto which an external thermal insulation composite system will be applied afterwards.

Advantages: The approved attachment in the stone and in the joint starting from 50 mm of façade masonry ensures a high degree of flexibility and safety. The application in the joint and a low anchoring depth of only 50 mm allow for quick and economical installation. A flush or recessed installation is possible due to the small anchor rim and the small screw head. The drill hole can be subsequently grouted, making it no longer visible on the façade. A water drainage spiral prevents condensation water from flowing into the load-bearing shell, thus protecting against frost damage and potential corrosion damage.

Application: Primarily used where an external thermal insulation composite system will be applied after façade renovation. Retrofitting of double-skin masonry according to approval Z-21.2-1956.

Functionality: The VBS-M façade renovation anchor is installed using the through-mounting method in the load-bearing shell and in the façade masonry. According to the approval, no drill hole cleaning is necessary. The two expansion zones of the anchor in the load-bearing shell and in the façade ensure a secure connection.
