The Fischer VBS-M facade renovation anchor is a mechanical system for the subsequent, building authority-approved attachment of facing masonry with and without an air gap. The system consists of a plastic sleeve with a double expansion zone and a screw made of stainless steel. The VBS-M is installed using a time-saving through-mounting technique in the load-bearing shell and in the facing masonry. The two expansion zones of the anchor create a secure attachment in both the load-bearing shell and the facing layer. The anchor is only fixed in the facing masonry once it has engaged in the load-bearing shell. The Fischer VBS-M facade renovation anchor is particularly suitable for the quick renovation of double-skin masonry, where an external thermal insulation composite system is subsequently applied.

Advantages: The approved attachment in the stone and in the joint starting from 50 mm of facing masonry ensures a high degree of flexibility and safety. The application in the joint and a low anchoring depth of only 50 mm allow for quick and economical installation. A flush or recessed installation is possible due to the small anchor collar and the small screw head. The drill hole can be subsequently grouted, making it no longer visible in the facade. A water drainage spiral prevents the runoff of condensate into the load-bearing shell, thus protecting against frost damage and potential corrosion damage.

Application: Primarily used where an external thermal insulation composite system is applied after the facade renovation. Subsequent renovation of double-skin masonry according to approval Z-21.2-1956.

Functionality: The VBS-M facade renovation anchor is installed using a through-mounting technique in the load-bearing shell and in the facing masonry. According to the approval, no cleaning of the drill hole is necessary. The two expansion zones of the anchor in the load-bearing shell and in the facing masonry ensure a secure connection.
