The future belongs to successful IP technology. Instead of a router solely for the internet, a router for All IP will be used. Swisscom plans to transition all services such as voice telephony, internet, and TV to IP technology by the end of 2017. To ensure that existing (analog) phones can still be used in the All IP era, Feller offers two retrofit sockets, both recommended by Swisscom. VoIP return socket. If a return to the existing home installation is necessary, the TT socket is replaced by a VoIP return socket. The DSL signal is connected to terminals 1 and 2. When the new Internet Box 2 or Internet Box Light is connected to the VoIP socket, the internal contacts are opened, separating the incoming DSL and outgoing analog signals. (DSL In = Pins 1/2, Analog Out = Pins 3/4). All TT83 sockets connected after the VoIP socket will now receive the analog telephone signal from the Internet Box (All-IP). Special analog/digital filters are no longer necessary.
