Eltako Base load in parallel with the associated consumer

A base load is used when consumers cannot be detected due to their capacity but are intended to activate the mains voltage. Base loads must always be operated in parallel with the associated consumer and switched off at the same time. Higher standby loads can impair or prevent the detection of a base load. Examples include fluorescent lamps, dimmer circuits, and electronic transformers. The base load element GLE PTC in a small sleeve with connection wires can be directly used in a consumer, a switch, or a junction box. It is not capable of keeping the field disconnector activated without an additional consumer.
