Elmag Flux-Cored Wire Gasless MT-FD 2-o, Article No.: 54156

Rutile flux-cored wire for MIG/MAG welding machines. The MT-FD2-o welding wire is a self-shielding flux-cored wire that can be used without shielding gas for general welding and hardfacing. It is filled with a metal powder (flux). The weld pool is protected from oxidation by the melting flux.

The MT-FD2-o is therefore ideally suited for:

• Outdoor use, even in adverse weather conditions such as wind,
• Construction sites - no need to carry shielding gas cylinders,
• Tack, butt, and fillet welds on low-alloy sheets up to 15 mm thick, e.g., on steel structures, agricultural machinery, during assembly, repairs, etc.

The deposition rate is approximately 90%, and the stick-out should be set to about 40 mm without shielding gas.

Gasless flux-cored welding is possible with ELMAG® welding machines EUROMIGplus EM 161, EMS 1725, and ETP 220 SynPuls.
