The 509N is a self-activating panic lock with motor drive for single-leaf doors. It meets the requirements for burglar-resistant doors, fire protection doors, emergency exit doors, and panic doors according to EN 179 and EN 1125. A mechanical control system reliably prevents the unwanted extension of the bolt when the door is open. The lock can be universally used for DL/DR with a universal double-action bolt and switchable control mechanism.

It features an integrated electronic control unit for external triggering or connection to the ASSA ABLOY Hi/O bus system. Integrated monitoring functions via contactless sensors allow for status inquiries through the external OneSystem IO module, including door status via the strike plate contact, retracted and extended bolt, cylinder monitoring, and handle follow-up monitoring.

The lock includes an integrated motor drive and offers external activation without additional control, with extra functions available through the external OneSystem IO module. Hi-O bus technology is used for connection to the ASSA ABLOY Hi-O bus system.

The uniform connection technology uses a 2-wire bus technology, and the lock has a 6 mm thick front plate for added security. It features uniform lock case dimensions that are compatible with 309N/319N (mechanical) and 809N/819N (electromechanical). It is suitable for DIN left/right thanks to the universal double-action bolt and reversible control bolt. Security fittings and oval rosettes can be screwed onto the lock.

The lock is equipped with solid, surface-hardened latches with a 20 mm throw and a shear strength of 20,000 N. There is a variant for Euro profile cylinders and Swiss round profile cylinders. Please note that the connection cable must be ordered separately.
