Product details

Iron-Mica paint is a single-color, solvent-based, one-component coating material based on an acrylic resin binder that contains mica and is thixotropic. It provides corrosion protection for constructions made of steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum in agricultural, urban, industrial, and marine atmospheres. Suitable for hall constructions, pipelines, bridges, roofs, lattice towers, containers, as well as wall and ceiling cladding. It is also suitable for refurbishing old coatings, such as coated steel sheet surfaces, and for painting hard PVC.

Application area: Indoor and outdoor use.

Properties:

  • Thick layer, thixotropic, very good edge coverage, dense layer/flocculent fillers (barrier effect), fast drying.
  • Direct adhesion to galvanization, steel, aluminum, and hard PVC.
  • Temperature resistance up to a maximum of 80 °C.

Consumption: Approximately 200 ml/m² per coat.

Drying (20 °C):
At a maximum of 60% relative humidity: Dust dry after about 3 hours, dry and sandable after about 12 hours, repaintable after about 24 hours. These times are extended at lower temperatures and higher humidity.

Application: Brush, roller, spray device. Apply 1-2 coats. Do not apply below +8 °C.
