The Dormer 6UNC tap set is a high-quality collection of straight-fluted hand taps specifically designed for machining coarse threads. This set includes three different taps, each tailored for various thread pitches: one for 6-8xP, one for 4-6xP, and one for 2-3xP. The taps are manufactured according to the ISO 529 standard and provide precise machining of through and blind holes in construction steel as well as copper or copper alloys. With a shank diameter of 3.55 mm and a square drive of 2.8 mm, these taps are both robust and versatile. The cutting direction is right-handed, allowing for easy handling. The use of HSS (high-speed steel) ensures a long lifespan and high cutting performance.
