D Modun Gasmelder

The D MODUN gas detector is an indispensable safety device for any environment where flammable gases are used or stored. With its state-of-the-art sensor technology, the detector is used to detect LPG (liquefied petroleum gas consisting of propane and butane), natural gas (mainly methane) and town coal gas, a mixture of alkanes, olefins and aromatics. The ability to detect leaks of these gases contributes significantly to the protection of people and property, for example in kitchens, hospitals, garages or industrial plants. In a normal situation, a zero is shown on the LED digital display. However, if a flammable gas leak is detected, numbers between 1 and 9 and the letter A are displayed on the screen, accompanied by a visual alarm in the form of a flashing red signal.

In combination with the audible alarm of at least 85 decibels, the detector immediately draws attention to itself as soon as the gas concentration rises above 3 % of the lower explosion limit (LEL). The alarm states vary depending on the measured gas concentration. Thanks to its simple handling with the standardised European plug design, the gas detector is plug-and-play capable and can be operated directly on conventional sockets without additional adapters or converters. Its energy efficiency is further emphasised by its low consumption of less than 2 watts, which results in considerable energy savings.

In addition to the gas detector itself, the scope of delivery includes a user manual that explains how to use the device, as well as the semiconductor gas sensors that enable precise detection of the gas values. With an operating voltage of AC100V to AC240V and a frequency of 50/60Hz, the detector can also be used internationally. The working environment for the gas detector is specified with a temperature range of -10°C to 50°C, which further emphasises its flexibility and reliability.
