SMARTPASS 120T is a multifunctional 24V power management solution and a separate charging system for vehicles with two batteries (starter battery and secondary battery). SMARTPASS 120T distributes, regulates, and optimizes the energy supplied from the alternator to the secondary battery and consumers. It is used when the alternator can provide the required charging voltage and many parallel consumers with an average load of over 10 A are connected to the secondary battery. If the voltage of the secondary battery is too low, the battery protection feature of SMARTPASS 120T disconnects all devices connected to the consumer output. This protects the secondary battery from deep discharge and extends its lifespan. To maximize the separate charging process, SMARTPASS 120T supplies the connected consumers directly from the alternator while the engine is running. It ensures safe operation through safety features such as battery temperature protection, dynamic overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection. SMARTPASS 120T is intended for applications where the alternator can deliver the desired charging voltage and the secondary battery has many parallel-connected consumers with an average load of more than 10 A.
