That's why Cold Steel decided to create a modern version of this ancient classic in an affordable. machete/sword format. The Gladius Machete's battle-ready blade is forged from 65Mn carbon steel and sharpened by hand. It offers unrivalled penetration and cutting power. The Gladius machete is equipped with a particularly wide, continuous tang for optimum stability. The handle has the classic parrying element and the round moulded pommel of the historical model. It is made from impact-resistant polypropylene and is therefore weatherproof and incredibly robust. A sturdy Cor-Ex sheath with belt loop is included.
