Storage and transport safety drum for rechargeable batteries, capacity 60 liters, including approximately 30 liters of buffer/filler material, dimensions HxØ 660 x 380 mm.

This open head drum is designed for the collection and transport of damaged lithium batteries/rechargeable batteries until disposal. A special valve on the lid allows gas and pressure to escape in the event of an incident involving lithium batteries. It includes approximately 30 liters of vermiculite as buffer/filler material, satisfying all safety and fire protection requirements.

The 60-liter special safety drum features a lid secured by a clamping ring and a special valve for pressure relief in case of damage, operating on the same principle as a pressure cooker. Filled drums may only be stacked using an intermediate panel or stacking aid. It is suitable for lithium batteries weighing more than 0.5 kg to approximately 5 kg per battery or with an edge length of approximately 100 mm.

This drum is ideal for the safe storage of defective rechargeable batteries for power tools, gardening equipment, electric bikes, electric scooters, and more. It can be set up indoors and in sheltered outdoor areas protected from rain.

The drum includes a plastic liner bag, half filled with absorbent, impact-absorbing buffer/filler material vermiculite (approximately 30 liters). It has UN approval for dangerous goods in packaging groups I, II, or III and is approved for the transport of lithium batteries (UN 3480 and UN 3090 from 0.5 to 5 kg).

For use with vermiculite as a buffer material, the permissible overall weight is 60 kg. Please note that specific ADR requirements apply for transport (see special regulations and packaging instructions). Observe the packing aid enclosed.
