The Busch-Jaeger proximity switch insert 6406 U is an innovative relay insert that operates with a 3-wire connection technology and requires a neutral conductor. This switch allows for contactless switching on and off of electrical consumers, such as light sources. It is versatile and can control incandescent lamps, 230 V halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps, as well as low-voltage halogen lamps powered by transformers. The switch responds to approaches of less than 5 cm, enabling comfortable operation. Additionally, the insert can also be operated via conventional push buttons, which increases flexibility in application. The proximity switch is designed for flush mounting and is suitable for indoor use. Weighing only 0.05 kg and made of robust plastic, it is both lightweight and durable.
