Unique to these models is the Barlow zoom system in the eyepiece: By using a retractable additional lens, the magnification can be continuously adjusted up to 2x during visual observation, allowing for magnifications ranging from 40x to 1600x when combined with 3 objectives and 2 interchangeable wide-field eyepieces.

The Bresser Junior Student Microscope features an adjustable LED for both transmitted and reflected light, including a filter wheel with color filters and apertures. This ensures optimal lighting can always be set. The additional reflected light allows for the observation of non-transparent objects, such as leaves, small insects, and much more. This makes it particularly easy to get started with microscopy.

The power supply is provided by batteries (three AA type), enabling microscopy even without a nearby power outlet. The accessories include permanent slides and 5 blank slides and cover slips for creating your own specimens. Additionally, a dissection kit is included, consisting of a micro-cut, a knife, tweezers, a stick, and a tube.
