The ground HSS-TiN spiral drill achieves maximum durability when drilling metal. When used with an appropriate cooling system, the friction and wear are minimized due to the titanium nitride coating. The high surface quality of this ground HSS spiral drill ensures extended usability. It is suitable for alloyed and unalloyed steel, ductile iron, cast iron, sintered iron, nickel silver, copper, bronze, and hard plastics such as Plexiglas. The shank of the drill is cylindrical, with the shank diameter corresponding to the drill diameter. The drill is used with drill stands and drill screws. The HSS-TiN spiral drill is manufactured according to DIN 338. It belongs to drill type N with a small side cutting angle, has a drill tip of 135 degrees, and a diameter tolerance of h8. The drill tip with a cross-cut allows for active drilling initiation and perfect centering without wandering. Not suitable for aluminum. Use only with coolant.
