The X551 Expert for Metal offers an impressive material removal rate on metal surfaces. The abrasive grain made of zirconium oxide-reinforced aluminum oxide and semi-precious corundum enables optimal material removal rates with a long lifespan. Additionally, the extremely robust X-cloth serves as a stable backing, ensuring durability and consistently high performance on challenging surfaces. The full synthetic resin bonding of the abrasive grains to the X-cloth guarantees optimal grinding behavior. It is designed for deburring and preparing welding work on carbon steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as cast iron. It is also ideal for removing discolorations, deposits, and surface defects. Available with backing plates in both angled and straight designs, made from either fiberglass or plastic.
