In AGM technology (Absorbent Glass Mat), special fiberglass mats are placed between the battery's lead plates to absorb the acid. This results in a low internal resistance and a quick reaction between the acid and plate material, allowing the battery to deliver larger amounts of energy. Thanks to AGM technology, Bosch's S5-AX auxiliary battery provides reliable performance even during high load peaks. The 12V electrical system is stabilized, and fuel-saving start-stop phases can be extended, as a secure start is ensured even in extreme temperatures and while running comfort functions. With up to four times the cycle stability compared to conventional starter batteries, Bosch's auxiliary batteries also achieve a longer lifespan. Additionally, the optimized grid design ensures excellent charge acceptance and consistently high starting power and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the S5-AX battery is completely maintenance-free due to its special cover design.
