The stainless drop-point blade made of 1.4116 steel impresses with its elegant satin finish and is ready for use in a flash thanks to the flipper - but be careful, there is no opening aid. Around 90 % of the blade is moved manually; the ball bearing only engages on the last 10 degrees and guides it cleanly into the final locking position. Not a switchblade knife, but honest craftsmanship with technical sophistication.

Instead of showy effects, the Fire Ant relies on a double-detent ball mechanism - two balls that hold the blade securely open but release it just as gently. This makes the knife legal, discreet and suitable for everyday use - even in an urban environment where you don't necessarily want to turn up with a grappling hook on your belt.
