The range of extra-fine oil paints from Blockx includes 105 vibrant shades, all of which exhibit exceptional lightfastness (rating 7/8 on the international BWS measurement scale). The extra-fine oil paints from Blockx are primarily made from pure monopigments, without the addition of fillers or additives. Thanks to the unique traditional manufacturing method of grinding on porphyry stone, mixed with traditional binders, the creamy textures of Blockx oil paints are highly concentrated in color.

The BLOCKX palette offers a wide and carefully developed range of colours, renowned for their smooth, buttery consistency and natural luminosity. Each colour delivers a refined texture that responds beautifully to both classical techniques such as glazing and layering, and more contemporary, expressive applications. With a very high pigment concentration, these extra fine oils provide outstanding colour intensity and depth, allowing for precise mixing, clean colour transitions and excellent coverage. The predominance of single pigments ensures greater control and colour stability when blending. Each colour is traditionally ground with linseed oil, with the formulation adapted to the specific nature of the pigment.
