The RC suppression component allows for the suppression of electrical disturbances in the lighting system when needed. Due to voltage spikes caused by switching actions of inductive loads, such as electronic ballasts, unintentional triggering of ceiling or presence detectors can occur, especially with long cable lengths. In larger installations where many electronic ballasts are controlled in parallel, the use of RC suppression components is recommended. It is important to install the RC suppression component close to the source of interference.
