Product details
The Becker Harpoon fixed blade survival knife is the result of a collaboration between KA-BAR Knives, Inc. and knifemaker Ethan Becker, an outdoor enthusiast and founder of Becker Knife and Tool Corporation.
The Harpoon knife is the perfect companion for trips into the woods, camping, and hunting. The 4.5 mm thick blade and full-tang construction ensure that it can withstand many difficult tasks. The blade is made from a single piece of high-carbon 1095 Cro-Van steel with a hardness of 56 - 58 HRC, specially designed for knives used for heavier outdoor tasks. It is also coated with a matte protective layer in coyote or black color, which protects it from glare and corrosion.
The handle, with the shape familiar from other knives in the Becker series, is made of BASF's patented, virtually indestructible Ultramid material in Coyote Brown or Black. Before the hand slips onto the blade, it is secured by the rear part of the blade. The hole at the end of the handle makes it easy to install a safety lanyard. The knife has a handle according to the Short Becker Knives standard, which allows for the installation of customized Ka-Bar BK16HNDL handles made of Micarta.
Together with the Harpoon knife, you will receive a practical sheath in light brown Coyote Tan or Black, made of wear-resistant Celcon material. The knife is pressed into the sheath and additionally secured against falling out by a strap closed with a steel tab. A sturdy nylon strap allows the knife to be carried on very wide tactical belts (up to approximately 8 cm). After loosening the two Allen screws, you have the option of changing the position of the mounting side of the sheath on the belt. Knife and sheath are made in the USA.
