Balcony Solar Set 820Wp - for square railing posts

Easily and without approval (registration required) use your own solar power.

In Switzerland, you can feed up to 600W of solar energy into your home network without needing approval. This energy is then directly consumed by the connected devices, reducing the amount of energy purchased from the grid. Any excess energy is fed back into the power grid.

All you need is a power outlet on the balcony and a railing suitable for installation.

Our Balcony Solar Set provides you with all the necessary components:

  • Approval-free grid inverter with 600W
  • 2 MPPT trackers, each with 210 - 400W
  • 2x Mono shingle solar panels 410Wp
  • 2x SolarHook balcony solar mounting sets - Type_e

Here’s how it works:

  • Attach the solar panels to your suitable balcony railing using the SolarHook mounting system
  • Install the Sun micro-inverter and connect it to the solar panels with solar cables
  • Notify the electricity provider with a declaration of conformity
  • Connect the accessory connection cable (please order separately) to the Sun micro-inverter and plug it into the balcony outlet

Installation instructions for Plug & Play systems

In Switzerland, small plug & play systems up to a maximum nominal output of 600W may be installed without authorisation. The prerequisite is that the grid operator is informed about the operation of the solar system. A template for registering the system can be found in the documents section.

Protective device Plug & Play systems

For proper operation of the system, it must either be protected by an RCD (PRCD, type B, 30 mA) at the external socket or a residual current monitoring unit (RCMU) sensitive to all currents must be verifiably installed in the inverter/grid interface.
