AKCP AFS00 - Air flow sensor

The AKCP Pro Airflow Sensor is designed for systems that generate heat during operation and require a constant airflow to dissipate this generated heat. The reliability and safety of the system could be compromised if this cooling airflow stops. The airflow sensor is placed in the path of the airflow, where the user can monitor the status of the flowing air. This airflow sensor is not a precision measuring device. It is intended to detect the presence or absence of airflow. In addition to the on or off status of the sensor, the condition of the airflow sensor can also be read via SNMP Get using its OID. SNMP traps are sent in critical conditions. SNMP polling via Get is available. A web browser interface is also available. When an alarm condition is triggered, the description and location of the fault can be sent via email or pager. This is not a precision sensor; it is only designed to detect the presence or absence of airflow and not to measure the quantity of airflow. It is best used to send a warning in the event of a fan or AC failure or when airflow is present even though it should not be.
