The 3M Peltor Ear Protection 393-3003 features specially developed test cushions that allow for an individual fit check for employees wearing the 3M Peltor Optime Series earmuffs. These test cushions easily snap into the 3M Peltor X Series earmuffs to conduct tests using the 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System.

The system evaluates the personal attenuation rating (PAR) of the employee and indicates whether the test has passed or failed while they are wearing the 3M Peltor X Series earmuffs. With these cushions, users can determine the level of protection provided by the earmuffs in use. Employees can present the earmuffs used at the workplace, remove the cushions for testing, replace them with the appropriate test cushions, and perform a fit check.

The 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System measures how effectively the hearing protection works using the test cushion in the employee's ear, providing accurate quantitative results. These test cushions are intended for use only within the system and are not suitable as hearing protection. They are reusable and can be cleaned with 3M Peltor hygiene wipes.
