The 3M Protective Suit 4532+ offers enhanced liquid protection thanks to its unique special material treatment and is particularly resistant to oil and alcohol. Certified as Type 5 (harmful particles) and Type 6 (limited chemical splash), it combines the wearing comfort of a soft, highly breathable SSMMS material with improved liquid-repellent properties typically expected from a laminate. The 3M Protective Suit 4532+ is suitable for protection against minor chemical splashes, liquids, and health-threatening dusts, including radioactive contaminated particles. It meets the requirements of several standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 1149 (antistatic protection), EN 1073-2 (protection against radioactive contaminated particles), EN ISO 13688, EN 13034 Type 6 (against liquid splashes), and EN ISO 13982-1 Type 5 (against fine dust). This is indicated by the light blue triangle on the blue suit, which is made from the same 52 g/m² SSMMS as the rest of the suit. It is made from SSMMS, consisting of a layer of spunbond on the inside and outside, a double layer of spunbond, and two intervening layers of meltblown fabric. The spunbond provides strength and splash protection, while the meltblown layers create a multi-layer network of microfibers that filter out dry particles. The soft, breathable, and very lightweight nonwoven material allows body heat and moisture to be dissipated more easily. This results in higher wearing comfort and increased productivity in the workplace.
