You actually write that these indicators are "high-quality waterproof indicators for your bike or e-bike". Are they allowed to be installed on e-bikes or not?
Hello Adera
I have tried to read up on the Swiss Road Traffic Act. According to the new law (since recently), turn signals are allowed on bicycles. Slow e-bikes (without a yellow number) are considered bicycles and therefore this law should be directly applicable to them. Unfortunately, I could not find out what the situation is with fast e-bikes (with a yellow number). I have mounted the indicators on my fast e-bike (with a yellow number). So I have a question for you and maybe also for the makers of the Road Traffic Act.... How sick would a policeman have to be to pull you over and fine you for a device that clearly enhances road safety, which are mandatory on all other vehicles in that speed category (e.g. scooters). I rather wonder why these are not also prescribed for e-bikes with yellow numbers.... Anyway, that would be a discussion I would love to have with the official....
Switzerland's road law says in article 141 that direction indicators are allowed. Google is your friend ;)
Ps.
with time you operate the indicators with your little finger, stop flashing automatically...
Hello, yes, the indicators are high quality!
And if it serves my safety, I don't really care about the law!
In Switzerland, for example, turn signals are not compulsory on motorbikes...
What policeman will follow me when he sees me flashing in the dark?
And... I have now fitted wireless turn signals with laser light to the rear of my fast ebike. :-)
