Question about Snapshot Mini Black - 369122
Will the 8 batteries last half a year over the winter and can I set the camera to take a picture every 40 minutes with the sensor deactivated?
I have not tried this use case myself. But I can't imagine that the batteries will last that long. And then in the cold winter, when the batteries can give off even less energy due to the low temperature. For this use case, I would rather look for a solar/battery combination.
The capacity of batteries (how much energy can be drawn from them) depends on the temperature. The camera takes pictures when the sensor detects movement. Your intention is not feasible with this camera.
