Question about FollowMe tandem coupling

I have now read that it works on a 29" bike. We are buying a 29" E MTB. But is it also possible if we do NOT have a carrier? How do we attach the Follow Me if we are not pulling a child's bike?

I don't have a luggage rack on my bike either. A strap with a carabiner to attach it to the saddle was included.

I attach it to the saddle with some rope and a small carabiner.
Works perfectly
