Question about Vaude Karakorum Pro

Why would you have to? On my tours, it has always been enough to wipe the bags damp/wet. The bags have a certain strength so that they hold well on the chassis and that's great. So far I haven't noticed that you could remove a carrying frame so that they fit into the drum at all.
But this three-part system is very practical, I would buy again and again.
