With INEOS Genadiers, we set out to develop a better seamless armling. Others on the market are made with a nylon/Lycra® blend that tends to retain moisture. But we realized we could achieve better moisture management with a polyester yarn. However, working with polyester makes it more difficult to achieve the right elasticity, shape retention and manufacturing consistency. It took a year longer than we thought, but we're all glad we stuck with it. These arm warmers are a favorite of the pros because they are incredibly lightweight while being extremely warm for their weight. But even in milder conditions, you won't overheat. They are so elastic that you can barely feel them. But when you take them off, they take up a fraction of the space that normal arm warmers would take up in your pocket.

UPF 50+ Arm Sleeves. Officially, we can only rate these sleeves with UPF 50+, but in our lab tests, they actually blocked 99.8 percent of harmful UV rays. We used a polyester base that is not only more effective than nylon at blocking UV rays but also keeps you much drier. This means that these sleeves perform better in both cooler and warmer conditions. We kept the construction very clean to eliminate seams that could chafe, and we used our double-sided silicone elastic to ensure they stay in place. They fold down extremely small, making them perfect for stowing in your pockets for your next big mountain day.
