Like its big brother: the Carapax JR. is inspired by the model for adults, and thus promises optimum protection in the country for all young mountain bikers. The low weight, maximum head coverage and a long list of features provide it with an ideal price/performance ratio.

The back and temple areas also pull further down for the highest possible level of safety on rough trails. This creates even greater head coverage. Large air vents ensure optimum ventilation, fly screens keep insects away from the head, and the shield guarantees optimum protection in the field of vision. The Carapax 2.0 from Alpina is at home on the trails. With the revised version of this successful model, you always make the right choice in the terrain, whether going uphill or downhill. This creates a solid surface connection that is responsible for a very stable construction. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by an additional polycarbonate shell called Edge Protect. Thanks to the Seamless Connection, it fits seamlessly against the outer shell. For the highest possible safety on rough trails, the back and the temples are extended downward, allowing for even greater head coverage. 10. Lumos Ultra MIPS Bicycle Helmet

Integrated COB LED lighting, turn signals, and smart features for your safety in an elegant package.

Wearing a light on your helmet high above your head has several
advantages. Firstly, it allows drivers on the road to see you better, reducing the likelihood of being overlooked by parked cars or other obstacles. Secondly, the light on your helmet makes it easier for drivers to see where you are looking and approach you.

Chip On Board (COB) is a method of LED construction that offers numerous advantages over traditional technologies. It allows for a more compact design while providing higher light intensity, meaning you can be seen from further away. It also results in a more uniform light beam, which we currently consider our best LED technology. The Lumos Ultra will also be available in a MIPS version, an additional safety feature integrated into the helmet to provide extra protection against rotational movements in the event of an impact.

This is our best-ventilated helmet to date. We listened to customer feedback and paid close attention to how the Ultra directs air through its internal ventilation system. We created three large exhausts at the back of the helmet to ensure that warm air is pushed out, keeping the rider cool while commuting or cycling.

- 34 red and 34 orange LEDs at the back
