The cumbersome aspect of the Donkey trailer is its large coupling. On the smaller frames, the coupling protrudes too far upwards. The UNI coupling wraps around the luggage rack but has significant lateral mobility. Therefore, a coupling has been developed that can be mounted on all Pletscher system luggage racks. It can be assembled and disassembled in 1-2 minutes using three saddle quick-release fasteners. The spring flap remains usable, albeit with some limitations. With the coupling attached, baskets can still be hung on the sides. The coupling ensures a smooth ride.

Mounting on the saddle stays. Special feature: flatter mounting angle 11 cm lower. Newer city bikes have smaller frames and therefore flatter saddle stays. The normal Donkey hitch therefore protrudes too much upwards and impairs the coupling and handling of the trailer. This hitch is designed for flatter seat stays.
