The Terrapin System is a modular seat backpack with a removable dry bag that allows for easy packing from the bike. Nearly a decade after its initial design, this generation of Terrapin has seen improvements in the stability, user-friendliness, and durability of the bag. The Indie-Rail system is an evolution of traditional bike bag attachments, where the rail straps are secured at the top center of the bag. With Indie-Rail, each saddle rail is firmly strapped to the sides of the bag. This practically eliminates lateral swaying of the bag without the need for external fittings. This is combined with a rigid internal structure and active cam buckles to prevent the straps from slipping on uneven terrain. The Terrapin features an external plastic bottom that acts as a fender to protect the bottom of the backpack from kicked-up debris. The reinforced inner top plate made of composite material provides a solid and stable platform for the strap points and transfers the vertical load to the connection with the seat post. An external strap and loop system houses a rubber band and offers additional, easily accessible storage.
