With its wavy, 45 mm high rim shape, the 353 NSW offers speed in any terrain with top-notch aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The 353 NSW is Zipp's lightest tubeless wheelset to date. The use of hookless (straight) rims in the 353 NSW is a key component of "Making You Faster." With hookless, the transition between tire and rim is smoother and more aerodynamic. Zipp's hookless rims feature a more efficient resin distribution, resulting in lighter and stronger wheels. The sawtooth rim shape of the Zipp 353 NSW with Hyperfoils optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The sawtooth design also allows the rim to be structurally strong yet lightweight. This helps you accelerate out of corners and maintain that speed regardless of the terrain, especially on short, punchy climbs. The Zipp 353 NSW employs the TSE approach (Total System Efficiency) for wheel design and overcoming specific speed barriers: aerodynamic drag, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The internal width of the rims at 25 mm is perfect for running wider tubeless tires at reduced air pressure. At the heart of the 353 NSW is the Cognition V2 hub set, which has been updated with a revised Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement, lower friction, and improved durability.
