Drirelease fabric refers to a group of functional fibers for leisure and sportswear. Hydrophobic (water-repellent) and hydrophilic fibers (those that absorb water well) – typically 85% polyester and 15% cotton – are woven together. This combines the advantages of both materials: Drirelease absorbs moisture very quickly and transports it away from the body. Drirelease dries up to four times faster than pure cotton fabrics. Furthermore, Drirelease noticeably cools the body due to its high evaporation activity. Drirelease shirts do not look like typical functional textiles and are very close to the appearance of a casual T-shirt. Therefore, these comfortable and dry-to-wear shirts are not only popular for cycling.
