Thanks to the Wolf Tooth GoatLink derailleur adapter, you can reposition your 11-speed Shimano derailleur after modifying your drivetrain with a wider gear range. It allows for optimal positioning, ensuring smooth shifting over the long term. With this solution, climbing steep ascents with a 1x setup is easily achievable.

The Wolf Tooth team initiated the development of the GoatLink to enable the combination of Shimano 11-speed derailleurs and SRAM 10-42 Z XD cassettes without compromising on shifting performance. When paired with a 10-42 Z cassette, the GoatLink positions your 11-speed SLX M7000, XT M8000, or XTR M9000 derailleur so that the chain length between the cassette and the upper pulley is within 1% of Shimano's specifications. The engagement of chain links and teeth on the smallest cog has been improved by 27%.
