The fabric used is a composition of three materials: a breathable and windproof microporous membrane sandwiched between a water-repellent outer layer and an inner layer made of comfortable and warm fleece. Wind significantly enhances the feeling of cold. At an outside temperature of 0 °C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the perceived temperature is -10 °C. Windproof components help eliminate the discomfort associated with this "freezing effect." By forming a barrier against the wind, they effectively reduce heat loss.
