Tecnica Zero G Tour Pro 2023
30.5Product details
The Tecnica Zero G Tour Pro features an overlap construction, providing a high level of downhill performance. The drawback typically associated with this design is limited shaft rotation. However, Tecnica has managed to allow for 55 degrees of rotation thanks to a very low-cut shell (lower boot) and large cutouts in the cuff.
The unique "double blocking mobility cuff," which locks the cuff at two points vertically at the same time, contributes not only additional stability but also to this significant shaft rotation. The resulting flex is rated at 130 by Tecnica, indicating a stiff boot.
All of this comes in at just 1320 grams, making the boot feel light on the ascent.
The Zero G Tour Pro is ergonomically shaped, so it doesn’t feel tight at all, even though it is built on a last with a 99-millimeter width. Additionally, the shell can expand very well over the partially perforated areas.
While a flex rating of 130 might sound rigid and stiff, the boot is anything but that. It has a very pleasant progressive flex (initially soft, then increasingly stiffer), which may not be exactly at 130 but is certainly stiff enough for most riders.
Tecnica achieves the lightweight design through consistent optimization of materials, including the thinly injected Grilamid, relatively thin liner, and magnesium buckles with wire loops.
The Zero G Tour Pro is aimed at a wide range of riders due to its low weight and excellent performance. If the boot fits you, you can’t go wrong with it.
