Product details
The Megaforce 2 has been optimized from the ground up to connect wide and super-wide 31.8 mountain bike handlebars with exceptional torsional stiffness and lightweight tapered shaft (E2) head tubes with a connection diameter of 28.6 mm. The result is stiffness values similar to the massive Force 1.5, while being even lighter than the already very lightweight Superforce – just 132 g at a 70 mm stem length. It is extra flat to minimize the protrusion of the stem over the headset and is the first of its kind to be wider than it is tall, measuring 42x36 mm.
You will experience a noticeably better handlebar feel with super-wide handlebars. There is a reduction in "rocking tendency" (out of phase) while maintaining the damping vertical handlebar flex (in phase) at the grip ends. The new combination of an extremely wide stem tube with a tangential connection to the 1 1/8 inch fork connection area also allows for a deeper positioning of the rear clamp screws facing the knees than before. It features a new Super-Fit sizing system for the latest frame geometries with already lowered head tube heights and an optimal 6° (with FlipFlop) stem angle. Six finely graduated lengths in 10 mm increments (as known from road cycling).
Naturally tested to VR-3 standards – the toughest testing standard for handlebars and stems worldwide. Tested with handlebars up to 800 mm and approved without restrictions. Factory-tuned with non-loosable titanium screws and a custom-fit Megaforce-Litecap. Further specialized "Plug and Play" tuning parts/extensions are in preparation.
